I'm not too sure yet. I'll have to see if my nephew will be able to go or not, and then plan on the departure time from there. I'm thinking of taking a sick day tomorrow and driving up to Super Autobacs for the helmet. Are you guys planning on going up to the 101 and then straight there? Maybe the first night we could go get some Bubba Gump shrimp or something on cannery row. I may have to stop in Santa Barbara either on the way up or the way back to stop and visit my dad as well. The 154 going past Cachuma Lake is pretty fun as long as there isn't too much traffic.

Later,

Ray

101 would be the best route to take not only is it scenic there are good stops along the way. Let me know maybe we can convoy going up the 101.

Good idea. I just talked with my sister-in-law, and she said my nephew can't miss any more school days. Now I will have to call Nick tomorrow and see if there are any king size beds available. So I will be driving up on my own. Glenn, Clint let me know what time you want to leave and I will meet up with you guys. In Chino Hills? This will be fun, kinda like a birthday present. Since my B-day is on the 15th.

Later,

Ray

I even got an extra brake pad just incase I need it. I will change the oil as we get closer to the event so I know my car will be ready for action.

Yeah! My car is due for an oil change as well. I was thinking of doing a tranny fluid change and diff change too. We'll see, also one of my buddies said he has a helmet I could use for the track. This should be fun, I'm planning on going over to the Fish Hopper restaraunt and getting some of their famous California clam chowder on one of the days we are up there too.

Later,

Ray

So, how many of us are leaving Thursday morning to caravan with me 'n the S2k boyz? The plan is to have all the SoCal people meet in Sylmar (where the 5 and 405 meets) @ 11am ... we go from there!

Also as it stands, planned excursion on Saturday is wine tasting tour @ Paso Robles:

Let's get it on!!!!!!

Glenn and Clint, have you guys been running Playstation 2 "simulations" on the track in anticipation? I've got my wheel and projector setup and have been running Laguna Seca for a week now. It's quite a challenging course, and pretty hard on brakes.

btw: when is the last day to sign up?

LoL ... Glenn you're getting confused. The wine tasting is for AFTER the race on Saturday (on the way home).

The departing caravan meeting spot is at a Denny's in the city of Sylmar:

Over the years, that location proves to be the most ideal for everyone, because all SoCal peeps will eventually merges onto the 5N right there.
