A "stock" G35 is a fine way to start, indeed the best way. Stock street tires, sways, brakes, everything. It will teach you the most, and you will be impressed with how well the car performs just off the showroom floor. It will also allow you to appreciate what you may want to do to improve the handling of the car to your own taste, because you will experience on a track the more pure aspects of its handling characteristics. You can also ride along with other G drivers in more advanced groups to feel what their cars do with certain mods already added, and talk about which ones are "good" or best to consider and in what order of priority, depending on your budget and performance preferences. Remember, this is NOT racing. This is a high performance driving education experience or outing. You are not being graded or judged. This is a very collegial and supportive type of activity, and we all remember very much our own initial anxieties and concerns about doing it. You will be FINE and learn a lot even though you are not charging around like Parnelli Jones. Indeed, if it is your first time, we would all be very much happier if you did not try to drive like that, since absent divine intervention you would probably go on an off track excursion doing your F1 video game techniques. Just come, be cool, watch-listen-learn, and you will be thrilled.

Elise vs. GT3
I couldn't get to the vidoes on Clint's page, but I found this other racing teaser. enjoy!
Elise vs. GT3
The Elise is on street tires and is powered by a Honda/Acura Type S 2.0 liter engine outfitted with a blower. The GT3 is on slicks.

I could not pull up the video from his page either. Try this link of a short, split screen video of Laguna Seca that Clint did earlier this year.
