is the shutter valve the fuel level sensor? I just recently having the same issue of empty light going on then only being able to fill 12gals

Can you possibly go to another dealership, if one is close by? I hope you get the problem fixed soon. It's a royal pain to have to deal with that.

I had the same problem the first time i filled up. I went back to the dealer. one of the employees took me to the gas station and showed me how to fill it. Stick it in all the way, push down on the grip so the nossle rises in the tube. pull the lever. there wont be any interference. I though it was bull, but it seems to work. my friends have the same problem when they try to fill my car.
