Noisy Window When Closed And Driving

This just happened recently, when I have my window closed fully and I drive I hear this creaking sound, like the window would be too tight/too high up.

When I put the window just a bit down(like 1mm) the sound it gone, seems my window went up a bit, how can I adjust this? My mechanic didn't want to touch this, he said see the dealer.

Anyone?

Most likely you have to do a window motor reset. It's in the service manual which is also online here.

That pop is most likely your window popping the tab on the outer painted trim. Not good for your motor/regulator at all. It needs a reset, if your under warranty, go to the dealer and they can do it in a few minutes. If not under warranty, do the motor reset.

Can someone link me to this TSB? I just did a search and I couldn't find it . My driver's side window creaks too and my passengers side makes a wierd pop when the window gets all the way to the top.

My car has 35k miles, should I just bring it over to the dealer?

Since it's still under warranty, yup! They may end up replacing the motor for you.

DO a window motor reset. Very easy to do, just remove the door panel and the reset button for the window motor is under a black circle tape. There are several spots where there is this "finish tape" so maybe youll be lucky and find it the first time around, if not, keep on trying until you find a small black button.

Once you find it you close your door and raise your window all the way. Make sure to not click the switch to the automatic open/close as it would do this reset incorrectly. Make sure YOU have to raise the window with your finger not automatically. Now thats out the way, press the reset button and while pressing it lower your window all the way. Release the reset button and raise your window all the way back up. Tada! you are done. Test it out make sure everything is ok. Good luck

All said above true.

FYI: If same condition, but w/o pop noise and with air whisling noise, means window not going up enough too. If reset doesn't work, like on mine it didn't even with new motor, it's the regulator out of wack and/or regulator gone bad. Just went through this experience. One dealer failed after 4 attempts. Went to another dealer, fix in one shot...replaced regulator and whisle noise gone
