I have a '04 G35, and anytime I go above 35mph I get this weird low pitched whistling sound from the front of the car. Sounds like its coming from the engine block. This has be going on for about 2 months, and I'm trying to fix it now. Any Ideas or help?

 

Is your car completely stock? No pop chargers or super chargers?

 

It has an upgraded intake, not sure what brand. I also have Brembo brakes if that's important to know.

 

Your intake might be the whistle but that is something you would have noticed as soon as it's put in. You should try and post a video clip of the sound. I'm sure someone on here will be able to answer your question.

if you still have this issue.. check to make sure all of the intake piping is tight. mine was a little loose when i installed it and i had a whistle

 

Deck for legit whistles glued under your car. I use to pull this prank in high school. Glue whistles under their car. When they hit 35-45 enough air is pushed through it to make it sound..... So yea check for that. If not that intake is most likely the culperate.

You can always do it in the exhaust as well. Lets say I was the class clown....... Lots and lots of pranks. We also soaped aka drew with dove soap on a girls car for 14 days straight every night. Only the windows. Annoying part is the soap suds up soooooooo bad. We also got her tires just off the ground put it on blocks she got in the car the next day tried to go and could not..... That one is harder and more dangerous. More can go wrong but the whistle one is a good one.

 

Check the rubber moulding on the front edge of the hood
