Unichip will NOT fit some sedans

I learned the hard way... I have a 2003.5 sedan, but apparently I have the old ECU and harness. I bought a Unichip, and the harness is different. I'm still going to call the company tomorrow and see if they have a harness for the earlier G's, but I'm 99.9% sure they don't.

Here is a pic so you can look at your harness, and know whether you can install a Unichip or not.

So who wants a like-new Unichip for 6 bills?

Ahhh man that sucks. I didn't know the older ones have a different plug.

Let me see if I can get the money together, I might want it.

I would hope that Unichip is aware of the pulg differences and will send you the right one.

I don't think they make one for the older plug.

PS hold off on selling it because there is someone in the marketplace selling a older APS unichip for $350 right now. If you want to sell yours for $350 I'll take it!

I think that's a fair price for yours. Did you buy it new?

I asked that other guy about his and he sent some links to the APS site. That is how the older unichips look. I had only seen the ones like yours.

Sorry I don't have any sounds clips. It sounds great, but there's a lot of drone. I don't mind it though, only on long drives when I want to relax.

ttrank,

you don't want a UTEC? You seem like a DIYer, and the UTEC lets you control things...not be cornered into a specific tuning shop. Correct me if I am wrong, but don't you have to go to a unichip dealer to get tuning done?

You can get it tuned.. or just load a different map, according to what mods the car has.
