How's it feel driving now?

 

Well my car dynod at 262 at first and was very lean. The car responds much faster and it feels like theres always power where as before there where alot of flat spots. I would recommend this once you get all your boltons done. The car pulls too! This much power will make me happy until I save up enough for my momentum single turbo kit.

 

To everyone with Osiris, I'm planning to jump on the boat here and finally expose all that hidden power of my G35 coupe. My only questions is can I improve MPG with this and how much am I looking to spend including with a tune. I am located in socal and have done as much reasearch as I can but nothing beats real people input. My 2006 G35 coupe is has a z tube and base 370z wheels. Other than that it is bone stock.

 

I've seen MPG go up 1~2 MPG, increase of around 10-15 whp. Look to spend $600+ for a dyno tune, or $500 for the reflash yourself and datalog route.

Maybe someone can help with this. It seems like the numbers are a little low for the mods and as you can see its not smooth at all. The tuner did ask if the plugs were old and did I fill with 93 octane. I did forget to change the plugs but yes I was full of 93.

Keep in mind this is on a Dynojet

Looks like a alright tune to me... pretty decent gains. Get rid of your cats and you'll pick up some more. You also can't compare your exact #'s with people on different dyno's in different area's of the country... If you want an apples for apples comparison ask other guys who've been tuned at the same shop and see how you stack up.

The smoothness of the graph has nothing to do with the tune, you can choose to smooth out the chart on the computer or not. Looks like you were possibly detonating at around 5K RPMs on the stock tune and he cleaned that right up

 

Thanks. Im happy with the tune and glad he cleaned that up for sure. I tried to compare against the same type of dyno, and similar mods. It would've been better if I got a "before the mods" tune that I asked for since that shop put on the MD parts but somehow they missed that request. I could deff feel the extra power from the parts and tune but would've been perfect to have the "before"

This was my very first tune btw so I wasn't sure about the smoothness so thanks again

 

06 6MT 291whp on what turned out to be low octane gas, probably be a little closer to 300 with good gas.

Compared to another G35 in CT on the same day and same dyno??? The numbers may seem low but you can't compare dyno numbers if there's no controlled variables.

 

AFR was 14.5-15.1 throughout the entire range on the baseline - ultra lean due to the MREV2 - 15.1 AFR peaked at 4100 rpm.

Gains: +18hp/+30tq at 5300 rpm.

Final tune: 281hp/258tq.

Shawn also lowered the temperature at which the radiator fans turn on to 98*C (208*F) over the stock 103*C (218*F), increased the torque management on the transmission to improve crisper and faster ***** complementing the TransGo, along with AFR, Cam, and ignition timing.

The car just pulls in any gear at any rpm, and when it's time to shift, it shifts faster than I can blink now. Very happy with the tune at 125k miles. Time for a compression and leak down test to see if it's safe to move on to Vortech. Always open to questions. I'll be back with an edited video of the tuning.
