I got my uprev cable and was expecting to get a base tune with it after having to fill out all the info about what mods I have and what each tune is supposed to be. So to my surprise I just get the cable and a sweet sticker. My bad for my lack of reading comprehension with their website.

So my questions are:
When I do the data logging and email it to uprev do I have to do 5 separate logs (one for each of the tunes) even if a couple of the tunes are for valet and economy?

If I want a 91 octane and a 93 octane tune do I need to switch fuels for the logs?

Sorry but I'm a newb to the tuning arena. My only other experience has been with bully dog tunes with trucks.

If it matters I drive a 2007 G35 coupe 5at. With basic breather mods: MD plenum spacer, Stillen intake/z-tube, MD ART pipes.

That being said, you do not need to switch fuels. Just back off the timing for your 91 octane map.

I'm not tuning it myself, I am sending logs in to uprev for them to create the tunes.

Sorry about that, I missed some important details. They will modify your map accordingly no need to run 91 and 93. How are those ART pipes??!

Thanks. I like the ART pipes a lot. They were easy to install except for the top nut on the drivers side due to the steering shaft being in the way.

Uprev should email the base tune file to you (it includes all of your requested maps). It won't come in the package. If you haven't gotten the base tune file, they might be waiting on you to reply with the ECU part number. You get that by plugging the cable into your car and opening up Cipher. For example, my ECU is CM41B, but if you look at the support matrix there's like 8 different ECU numbers for every year G.

For the Etune, you should just have to do one set of logging, I forget what they ask for, should be listed on the site though. Might need 2 sets if you want to really dial in the 91 & 93 octane tunes.

Email Uprev directly with your questions, or send a PM to seymore4 he knows his stuff and is pretty helpful.

Should I get a tune with just HFC, k&n, and a y pipe? I don't plan to go full exhaust.

Yes. HFC make more of a difference than the cat-back

Hey fellas, got a question on my tune. I'm about to install valve cover gaskets and was wondering if afterwards, I would have to do all the recalibration procedures after the install??? These procedures can be found here : https://www.motordyneengineering.com/manual.pdf .
I'm afraid I will lose the tune or something.
