I agree. Doesn't look like that will be happening this coming year though. Which sucks, because we've already got orders to deploy again March 2011, and I'm not even home from this deployment yet. With my current situation, I'll settle for a east coast meet vs. no meet at all.

I'm still waiting for a reply from them. i plan on writing another email tomorrow. I've given them a week for some kind of response.
I seriously doubt they will respond to emails. You have to find someone on the inside and talk with them.

I can go to Vegas anytime, but I would go to Nissan HQ for a possible once in a lifetime event if Nissan were to sponsor plant tours, proving ground time or other cool things that we can't do in Vegas.

If Nissan's Marketing guys were any good, they should research what the National Corvette Homecoming at Bowling Green assembly plant does for Corvette's brand image.

I can't do anything in Vegas which kinda blows. But i'd go to see the cars.

I still think Nissan HQ would be pretty badass.

BTW how many of the Cali people that voted for Vegas, would be down to drive a little farther if it was held more centrally? We should get an estimate into how many people we are looking at here.

I think instead of voting for a location, someone should try and get in touch with nissan. Does anyone know some one on the inside....lol? If we can have it at the hq I think even the cali guys would make the drive.

Me too. I think we can look to The Pursuit meet by Lexus (here in cali). It was a pretty decent success and it was organized by some guys on Club Lexus, who got Lexus and many other companies to sponsor the event. They rented out a track, had raffles, food, music, models, and sponsor booths, as well as about 420 cars out there.

LETS MAKE THIS HAPPEN! I'll drive to Texas. I think that's a good location, because I know there is a already decent G community there.

i voted KC for the same reason. I'd go to Nashville as well, and possibly "Texas" but it would depend on where in Texas. Houston or Dallas would probably be a yes, anywhere else I'd have to think about.

pretty sure that is exactly what was said last year when all of this was discussed. Planning something this large takes time, so it's not likely that we'd be able to meet before mid/late 2010.

No worries Jessele, it's just that you're on your own with that one, lol..

I was thinking a late summer/early fall DALLAS meet since it's really close to OK and more central than any city in Texas with plenty of accommodations as well as sponsorship opportunities (I know waijai can make some phone calls pretty quickly). If there's any place that can make this happen next year, it's DALLAS.

If I wasn't in AfCRAPistan right now, I'd strongly consider heading up this huge meet...

Here's a visualization just in case anyone forgot their geography...

I'd be down for Dallas. It would be about a days drive for me, but just down the interstate.

And yea, it has been tried, but i have a feeling if we can nail down a date and location, we will be perfect.

I'm game for Dallas. Even for those who can't drive, flying into DFW airport is usually fairly reasonable. I'm sure I could get my cousin from Louisiana to bring his 350Z too.
