that's pretty much the price i've observed as well.. it seems to be in gray markets.. i've seen the kenwood version for less, but i'm not quite 100% sure if it requires touch screen

with regards to the price, that seems about right. I bought mine in an instant since someone bought a unit, opened it and never isntalled it. The starting bid was $300 u.s and no one bid against me, so i ended up with a gvn 52 shipped with duties to ontario for about $380 cdn.

I did look around for about 2 weeks or so. If you spot a used unit you'll prob end up in the 300's otherwise the new ones were about the mid 400's

also regards to the kenwood unit,
they do need a kenwood touchscreen unit. I actually was thinking of buying the kenwood unit and trying to find a damaged screen or touchscreen overlay that could be spliced into the unit and then mounted atop the standard infiniti screen to give you a touchscreen interface, but it seemed like quite the undertaking.
