gps idea for non-nav sedans

I am replacing the OEM screen with the alpine. I will run the RGBS factory signal to the alpine screen, and it should show radio, climate control, etc.
Today, I finished gluing the alpine camera to the chrome trim. It's now secure and weatherproof. Next step is to attatch the new chrome trim, mount the small camera control box in the trunk, run wire from the reverse lights to the control box, and run camera feed to the front of the car.

Disclaimer - I'm just showing what I'm doing to my car. If you use this thread to modify your car, you do it at your own risk.
ok - I'm almost finished with installing the rear camera. The camera control box from alpine doesn't have a mounting bracket. Alpine just provided velcro strips for it. So, I mounted it in the bottom passenger side of the trunk. Next to the spare tire kit. It's in a corner, and I used silicone glue instead of the velcro strips to secure it.

Remember, you’re looking at a picture of a picture.
It’s now time to connect the alpine KCE-900E to the tvandnav2go harness. I have a pinout for the stock LCD and the alpine nav cable. I noticed that other RGB converters need a 5v power supply. The alpine pinout has a 5v power wire, and the stock RGB area YS signal is 5v. I’m betting these two need to be connected. Other connections will be red, green, blue, rgb sync, and ground. I’ll use the solder iron for the connections. Progress has been slow due to the Texas heat. It was 106 degrees yesterday!

Q to OP - did you want to get the backup camera with no distance markings? I have a Sanyo backup camera (that has distance markings) which I did not install yet + the chrome trim, right now am using Boyo license plate backup camera with parktronic sensors but wanted distance markings.
EDIT: I see that you decided to stay with Alpine components. I don't know whether it's the pic you took but the resolution of the Alpine backup cam seems worse than my Boyo License plate one...

I've already got the alpine camera and trim installed. Thanks, though. Your sanyo camera should sell quickly. I don't think they make it anymore.
Here is the pinout for the alpine KCE-900E.
I used this chart when connecting it to the stock harness. Now I'm going to try to install the gps box and monitor control box above the passenger kick panel. I'll know soon if there is enough room up there.
