I want to know SPECIFICALLY if anyone has run the rear wheels from the G35 sedan sport (18 x 8.5") or the rears from the 07 Coupe (19 x 9")
with the either the stock 245mm or aftermarket 255mm rubber all the way around on a 2007+ G35x.
Stock specs:
- 19 x 9.0-inch (rear) 245/40R19 (rear) W-rated summer performance tires
- 18 x 8.5-inch (rear) 245/45R18 (rear) W-rated summer performance tires

First decide on what year you are getting, you are postin in the 07 section and the 03-06 section.
Second you shouldn't have a problem running the sport 18 on the car if you running all 4.
Third 07 coupe 19, they just came out and there is one car that has them on. The rears should be no problem, but the fronts might be. PM Chico or even Gdup (who has been a big help for me). They know wheels stuff.
Fourth what are you actually doing with the car that you need to be like an Audi. Are you going to autocross or do you have a friend that has a S4 and you want braggin rights.
Fifth I been talking to a couple of other guys, they are running staggered on their X and not had any problems. As long as the overall diameter is close then you shouldn't have a problem. Me I rather not take that chance, but part of me wants too.
Last thing suspension. There is a coilover system for our car, its made by company that has pissed off alot of people. You need special arms for it and I am not sure if it works with the 07. You can by springs for you car. I believe you can see if Koni has rear shocks for it, then you can go through them to get the front re valved.
I hope I was able to shed some light on this subject for you.

It's hard to go from driving a C6 Corvette as a daily driver to anything else.
But, I need automatic and AWD, so I am willing to make some compromises.
However,
I have driven both the 07 and 07 G35x and I'm not happy enough to buy either.
Based on what I learn about improving the handling from the forum,
and what I find in the used car market,
I will make my decision on what I will be buying and how I will modify it.
I will run the same size wheel and tire at all 4 corners.
I just want to hear from someone who has ACTUALLY run a certain wheel/tire ALL AROUND on a G35x before I purchase both a car and a wheel/tire package.
I want to stay with factory wheels for ease of replacement and OEM quality control.
Thanks again.

Why not run the M45 sport 19s all around? People have done that on the X.
Bottom line, there are big limits on what you can do to improve the handling. You can make MINOR improvements. I am very happy with how my X handles stock. Not quite as nice as my wife's 328, but still very good.
If you don't like the handling buy a car that you do like. You will likely be poorer and angrier going through the trouble to try to mod something that you don't like from the jump. I wanted an M45 because I wanted a larger car with a bigger trunk and the AC seats, but after I drove it, I scrapped that idea. Drove the G, loved it, bought it.
