Brake Problem on Brand New G35
Brake Problem on Brand New G35
Occasionally, on my brand new G35x (2008), when braking I feel some vibration. The problem seemed more prevalent on the day I drove the car on the lot, but I do feel the vibration occasionally. Any insights?
Mine was like that too. I now have 1400 miles on the car and the vibrations are gone. It was noticable when i first picked up the car with 5 miles on it but now i dont feel it at all. Hopefully other people will be able to comment on this issue but mine went away after driving it a little bit
I have the same issue with mine I have 850 miles on the car.I notice it the other day. If it's still there at 1k I goning into the dealer. I wonder if there is a TSB for this.??
If you are talking about a shimmy when you go from about 60 down to 40, moderate braking, you may have warped rotors. Happened to me at about 6K - later than yours. From what I've read here, warped rotors are pretty common, especially the fronts.
I just had them fixed under warranty and they are perfect.

No I have not felt mine on the highway, then again I'm never on the highway only city driving. I feel it the most from 30 mhp down to 0 feels like a rubbing almost with the pedal vibration..
Should I expect my dealer to replace the rotors if they are warped for free under warranty, or should I just have any dealer cut the rotors? Will cutting rotors shorten the lifespan of the rotors?

Nissans Inferior Rotors....!
Since your G is brand new by them truing the rotors that will only shorten
there life, I'd demand brand new rotors. One of the main reasons for this
issue is a inferior forging process. Some service writer will make excuses
blaming everyone but Nissan, but it's there supplier doing a rush job. This
has been an issue with rotors since the early '90s!
