Seeing them side by side, again, can anybody explain why the nissan "shank" nuts have the same taper as the "conical" nuts, and how they seat differently? It almost looks like the shank could be used in place of the conical. [edit, posted at the same time as integr8r]
The only explaination I could think of is if the conical are hardened differently!
