07 G35x w/ Eibachs

Hey Guys
I recently lowered my G35x w/ Eibachs. I installed the camber kit and everything pretty much is in spec. I did not cut the bumb-stops and the front end is bottoming out like crazy. What is the recommended amount to cut off the bump stops for a G35 X? What are your opinions on ride quality with the bump stops cut??? Thanks

You sure that somethings not loose up front and knocking with large potholes? I did not cut any bump stops (hard foam "bump" material that contacts when strut is fully compressed) and do not get any bottoming. I have a G35S though but it shouldn't matter. Is your whole dash shaking when you "bottom" or are you just hearing a hard knock? When you bottom out, you will definitely feel it through the whole front end and through the dash.

they go over the shaft of the shock to prevent bottoming out.

Almost sounds like your shocks are rather worn.

Intgr8r, are you in bump stop sales? That is quite the selection, and what an impressive display.....

I had both struts replaced before I lowered the car. When I hit a marginal bump, I feel it through the whole front end. I have change in my ashtray that bounces like crazy. When I had the stock suspensionm it wasnt like that at all. Also this is not the first vehicle I have lowered. I have had a G35 coupe lowered with Teins, a 2000 TL with comptech springs, and a Maxima with Intrax. This is by far the worst ride I have ever had. I am just frustrated. My car is on the rack now taking a look to see if there is something wrong. Thanks guys.

It's worth a shot... but is it possible your springs were installed upside-down?
