someone ******* stole my torque wrench at an autocross event this weekend - and I'm pretty sure it's this guy I got in a little "tiff" with even though he's on the board so everyone assured me it wasn't.

now I have to go find another one, I want my Husky back, I guess i'll spend another 80+ for it

^+1 That REALY sucks.

At the track we all leave stuff in the pits,
it sucks that someone would do that.

Same thing happens at paintball fields. You spend tons of dough on spare parts and paint and some loser comes and takes it away while you're in the woods shooting people for sport.

Okay guys i think we went off topic. haha By the way the wrench does look good. Just rather spend the money on the rotors haha.lol I also looked at the DBA 4000 rotors. The racing brake rotors look great. What pads should i go with them ? any suggestions?

Personally, my OEM rotors have been great. Granted, I'm on my second set of pads I was told the rotors look great - and I'm very hard on my brakes (cough*HPDEs*cough).
For a non-track car I would go with a high quality solid rotor and high quality pads.

One trick I was taught was that when you come to a hard stop you want to rotate your brakes, that is allow the car to roll to uncover the rotor to even out heat distribution. Does it actually work, can't prove it.

I have had almost no warped rotors on any of my personal cars while other members in my family driving in the same areas have.

And you are correct when it comes to the drilled rotors. The holes are actually commonly referred to as degassing holes.

I suggest inspecting the pads instead. Telling you how long each one of us waited between pad changes won't help you much.

Here's a video of what's done.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...+rotors&hl=en#

Basically you take out all baked-on brake dust/material as well as level out the surface, thus "resurfacing". Sometimes a cross-hatch pattern is used when resurfacing to promote better bedding between pads and rotor when reinstalled.

Of course, this only assumes you still have adequate thickness on the rotor left. Since you're basically grinding the metal down, it's easy to see how easy it thins out the rotor.

Went in a few weeks back for to be checked as i have higher miles on my 07G35S. Replaced my front rotors and pads for free. Oh, did I mention this was at my dealership! Pays to make friends, and also bring them business. Rock on JBA Infiniti of Ellicott, MD.
