That's a great thread. I'm planning on getting some 19" wheels (8.5" width) with 40mm offset. Tires will be 245/45/19. Will I get rubbing if I drop my car? According to wheel calculator these wheels/tires will stick out 13mm more than stock 17".

Thanks.

I'm running 19x8.5 with a 35mm offset and there is absolutely no threat of rubbing.
I think you'll be fine.

Big problem now is that I have a steep driveway and when I get to the top as I enter the garage I am scraping. I tried going slower and am still scaping. Any suggestions? I will try to get some pictures but it is dark here.
I had this same problem after I dropped my car on eibach springs....i use a couple solid boards to help keep from scraping...it's not fun hearing metal scrape against my driveway...good luck

Nice Drop man...your car looks so clean with those rims and the Eibachs...for the price I can't think of a better mod...for looks and performance.

I am jealous of how nice your wheels look and how flush they sit after the drop...I'm quite impressed to say the least!

Ive decided to hold off on springs due to the concern for scraping. Ive had several close calls as is with the Journey lip at stock height. Call me crazy but if I lower with springs, Im probably going Impul.

Boy, I just can't seem to dodge the crappy weather... it's raining again.
I tried snapping a few pics the other day but I wasn't happy with the way the car looked in the pics compared to how it looks in person. I think the reflection from above the tire inside the wheel well makes it look to have more gap than what's really there... hard to explain.
There is less than one finger in the rear and almost two fingers in the front, but that's the way the fenders are cut and not the fault of the springs. I think it looks great.
Anyway, more teasers until I get around to real photos. I took a few from my office window this morning. I'm so busy that I'm now driving an hour to go into the office to get more work done. There isn't enough hours in a week anymore

***EDIT***
WTF are these showing up so small.
~sigh~... I'm gonna get back to work.

***EDIT #2***
Ha! Fixed it... Now I'm really getting back to work

Thanks. Crappy phone pics are the best I can do at the moment. I'm going to order spacers today, I'll post up some decent pics when I put them on.
