^ No there is not. This is why we are having so much trouble getting the problem recognized and resolved.

yes that only works with dealerships up to 2006 models, sounds pretty similar if you ask me. After filing my BBB complaint, Nissan is trying to help out. They are sending out a tech on October 7th to meet with me.

Good Luck Stevec, i hope you'll be able to demonstrate the problem to the tech. It seems that anytime i'm @ the dealer, the damn thing doesn't shudder!

I actually have a UPRev tuner shop (RT Tuning) about 45 mins away from me. They quoted $300 for the UpRev ECU tune without a DYNO.
I hope that'll help the shudder situation. (though it may actually make it worse, since it resets the throttle sensitivity to "touchy")

So I brought my car in last week to get oil change and mentioned this problem to them... went on a drive and barely produced it but he said he noticed it and will look into it... its been 3 days they haven't called me back, so I called them this morning asking whats up.
They said they will need it to Monday at least, they are having a infiniti tech. come out and look at it? I asked what are you guys planning on doing, they said not sure yet, but they are debating to replace some of the transmission components, or the whole thing.

My question is... should i let them replace the whole tranny just cuz of a little shuddering that can be fix by allowing my right foot to have fun on the gas pedal?

Would this depreciate my resale value? I do want to keep this car for the long run but...replacing tranny effect life of the engine in anyways? (car nub) :P

Suggestions and advice greatly appreciated!

Let them replace as much as they're willing to replace, the more the better.
They're payin 4 it right?
It shouldn't negatively affect resale value, I would think it would help.
A new trans won't hurt your engine life.

On my 07 G35x, had a hard shift into 3rd gear - 5 spd Auto tranny. My dealer first replaced the Valve Body, then about a year later, in the cold weather, the hard shift returned. Worse in DS mode and worse in Manual mode. They Replaced entire tranny after a road test by the dealer. Warranty work of course. Infiniti Ealer makes $$$$ doing this IF Infiniti approves it. They did, and new Tranny was "popped" in a few hours. I too was concerned, but it cured the ills. Should've Bought that car. Instead I leased a new 2010 G37X. At $20,000 buyout at lease end, only 26k on the clock ----it was big mistake.

Did your shudder & hard 3rd gear shift go away after the tranny was replaced?

i was actually getting a little nervous on the way to work this morning becuase I couldn't reproduce the shudder due to what I belive would be a lack of humidity, or i was just too damn tired to feel the car shaking haha
