Why buy a great handling/performing car like a G35/G37 and handicap it with some tires not rated to handle it?

Should have just bought a camry in the 1st place.

Should have mentioned it's for my mom's car and she doesn't really push it in the turns. I realize it's a downgrade in ultimate traction but the MXV4s are still V rated. Pilot Sport all seasons cost the same but thought something more quiet and a little softer would be more apt.

LOL I don't consider a Journey Sedan to be "great handling" car. It's too heavy and soft.

Go to tirerack and punch in the car. Note results and pick from list.

Maybe I should change the thread title to "If You Have Anything Useful To Add Post It". Yes I searched Tire Rack and funny they list Grand Touring tires as replacements!

Again I'm looking for feedback from those that have switched to "Grand Touring" tires on their Journey sedan and whether there were noticeable differences.

Those that need to state the obvious can go on trying to turn their G35 into a Z LOL.

In general Michelin makes great tires, but you will notice a difference (your Mom...?). I changed to Mich Pilot Sport A/S Plus, and there's a difference (and these are max perf all-seasons), doubt that I will buy the same again.

Again tho, one conjectures that I drive differently than your mom, so if she's just running around, should be fine.

Thanks for the info... I realize feel is subjective but yes it's my mom's car and she probably wont notice but I wanted to know if anyone noticed a signifcant difference in response, turn in, etc.

Are you comparing the Pilot Sport all seasons to the RS-As or the RE050s? Going from a summer tire to an all season wouldn't be something i'd consider unless I was seeing a lot of near freezing temps.

Comparing the Pilots to both the OEM Bridgestones and the Goodyear Eagle F1s I tried (which sucked BTW). The all seasons had nothing to do with freezing temps, and everything to do with tire life - so far I've averaged 10k / set of tires (simply due to cornering, not burnouts or anything stupid). To a certain extent I'm willing to support my driving style by buying tires more frequently, but not a grand a year...
