The AWD front sway is huge. The hotchkis sway even if it will fit is a downgrade.
Here are the Stillen specs:
Front Bar

OEM - 1.040" OD x 0.150" wall
560 lbs. @ 1" Travel

STILLEN - 1.0625" OD x 0.250" wall
720 lbs. @ 1" Travel

28.6% Stiffer

Rear Bar

OEM - 0.945" OD x 0.130" wall
540 lbs @ 1" Travel

STILLEN - 1.0" OD x 0.188" wall

Hole #1
740 lbs @ 1" Travel
37.0% Stiffer

Hole #2
920 lbs @ 1" Travel
70.4% Stiffer

I just looked up the Hotchkis specs:

* 1.377" (35mm) Tubular Front Bar
* 1.063" (27mm) Tubular Rear Bar
Looks like the Hotchkis bars are bigger than either the AWD or RWD bars. However, the front bar is only a tiny bit bigger. When it comes time to change my oil, I will try to see if the RWD front bar will fit the X sedan or not.

I already said that I have the rear bar. I just need time to install it (not that it takes a long time). I'm 3k miles away from an oil change.

OK guys, I have your info:
first off, here are the size comparisons in one post:
RWD sway: front 26.8mm, rear 24.4mm
AWD sway: front 31.7mm, rear 17.7mm

The RWD front will NOT fit the AWD car. The shape of the bar is totally different. The rear bars are completely interchangeable.

I just finished my rear RWD sway install. Super easy. Just unbolt the endlinks, sway brackets and lower the exhaust a bit (undo the rear exhaust hangers). Wiggle the bar out. Wiggle the RWD bar in. Bolt everything back up. Using an air rachet speeds up the install.

My RWD bar did not come with bushings so I ordered new ones, Nissan part # 54613-JK01A. The AWD bushings are too small and cannot be used on the RWD bar.

How does it drive? After a short drive, the rear end has noticeably less roll. There is less understeer. No change in ride quality. Overall, a must have handling mod.

^ Thank you! Glad to hear that the rear bar fits. Now, to get my hands on a RWD bar...
Question: if the OEM RWD sway is a good fit for the X, wouldn't this Eibach rear sway (scroll to bottom) fit as well?

I know Hotchkis will sell just the rear bar if you call them. $200 + shipping though. I only paid $60 shipped for my OEM RWD bar.

we have had the discussion and it does not make sense to use an aftermarket rear sway only as i think the front will be quite loose. Best to start with the RWD and add some GTSPEC braces

Thank you for experimenting with this! Great info, please give us more info after you drive it for some time.

Any ideas, why didn't Nissan put this sway from the factory? Just to make AWD model softer, or maybe there are some other reasons?

I believe Nissan was trying to tune the suspension to be safe for the average driver in bad weather. Understeer is "safe". Hence the tiny rear sway bar.
