Are the coupe and sedan sway bars the same? I see a lot of aftermarket sway bars that claim to be compatible with both.

Maybe you can measure the diameter of the G37 RWD sway to see if it matches the RWD G35 bar.

I measure it before I installed it. Don't remember the exact diameter, but it was the exact same size as that of the rwd g35 sedan sway bar as posted somewhere here in this thread.

Good to know. So does anyone know if the coupe and sedan have the same sway bars like the 2003-2006 models did?

I just ordered one and the guy I bought it from said there wasn't a difference for the rear bar (when I asked him whether it was from a coupe or sedan). Hopefully he knew what he's talking about!

Just want to say I am very happy with the sway mod - definitely less understeer, the steering a lot more controlled when making sharper turns.

Does anyone happen to know if the front and rear sways from the 2003-2006 have the same understeer bias? Wondering if I should get a stiffer rear sway, I have a 2006 g35x

I would suggest you get after market rear sway bar cause that is really your only option. I called a few dealerships in my area and infinitipartsusa.com and the AWD and RWD rear sway bar has the same part number and no difference obviously.
I just ordered me a rear sway bar from Stillen for approx $145. You have to call them to order it separately. And they also know that the only option for AWD is to get after market rear sway bars.

When changing the rear sway, should the car be on ramps (weight on the wheels) or on jack stands?

Just wondering if one way is easier than the other in terms of not having the fight with the bar.

Ramps. If the wheels are in the air, it will preload the bar.

The sport and AWD bars are definitely NOT the same at all. I just replaced mine and it's substantially larger in diameter, and has a noticeable effect in cornering and steering bias.

I replaced mine while it was on ramps and it was fine. Just drop the rear exhaust hanger and it shimmy's right out.

I wonder if the front sway from the AWD could fit RWD sedan, as it's larger.

I changed mine easily using jack stands. No preloading of the bar....
