Drop options on 07S sedan

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered rims for my 07 G35S from Charles at B2Autodesigns. Have to give him some props as the price on 20 inch MRR GT1s in Hypersilver was pretty damn awesome!! So....I'm waiting for them to be delivered, got 20s with 8.5F and 10.R, and will be fitting them with some Sumitomos, 245/35/20 on front and 275/30/20 on rear.

Heres the question though, I dont want it to look to high so I figured I need to at least put some springs on it to drop it a bit? Im a fairly aggressive driver, but this is my daily driver for work and play, no track play or anything like that. I live in North Florida so the roads are good and fairly smooth. I like the current ride on my S and dont want it to be much harsher, even though I know the 20s will ride a little stiffer.

Im leaning towards the Tein springs, with a drop around 1 inch or so? Should this be sufficient to lower the car a bit for cosmetics without needing to adjust camber, etc? I dont want to drop it radically and then need additional mods.
thanks!!!

I have the Tein H-Techs and they are perfect for me. The drop is more than coupe springs and you don't need anything to fix camber.

^He's asking about springs for 07+ sedans.

I'd say go with Eibach Pro-kit if you want a subtle, but clean look of the car.

Here is a picture of my G with Eibach springs from looooong time ago. hahaha

Eibach is probably the most common selection.

I know what he was asking about. I was giving my advice on the brand of springs he asked about. Mine ride great(same as oem sports) but just lower.

dont go springs go coilovers. i went through a few sets of springs and wasted my money with springs and now going to coils. rides better and not as harsh as springs. Tanabe's are great for cheap too.

What do you mean "went through?" do they not have the same wear and life expectancy as OEM springs? thanks!

I don't think springs = wasted money, depends on what your goals are.
A lot of guys are very happy with springs & don't need the extra cost of CO's

i mean springs are not a waste you are right tiger. but i think you will be much happier w/ coils. no the springs will not wear or whatever. but witth the springs you will at times hear clanking in the suspension which imo is annoying and it does not feel sturdy/tight imo. the fit and finish of coils i think is worth the extra coin, and the major benefit is dampening + ride height control so you can get the PERFECT drop. my $0.02.

Of course you'll be much happier with the coil with all the adjustability. But you'll need to consider the heavier spring rate, damping rate, and the price when you want to purchase the coilovers.

Another con for the spring is that the spring actually puts more stress on the OE struts that it actually decreases the life expectancy of them. I'm not sure how long the struts would last on our shocks, but for S2000, it was usually about 30k miles until they are blown and starting to leak. I'm sure it'll be longer than 30k miles, but just not sure how much longer since I haven't heard anyone complained about blown struts.

...or go with the H&Rs for if you want a more agressive daily driver such as mine:

The roads are okay up here in MD. So, if you live in FL, you will have no issues. Mind you, I have 19s, and not 20s.

P.S. I am just under 57k miles. Had my springs since May of '07; three months after I bought her.
