Tires and road noise

Been driving my new/used 08x for about a week now and noticed the road noise is pretty bad. On smooth pavement it's ok but on rough surface its pretty loud and on concrete it's almost unbearable.

Car came with Hankook Ventus V4's. Looked on tire rack and the Hankooks didn't rate very well but the road noise number wasn't to bad. 7.8 out of ten compared to 7.3 out of 10 or the stock Goodyears.

Keep in mind I'm coming from a Nissan Frontier pick up so the fact that I notice the road noise is starting to give me buyers remorse. Hate to change out brand new tires.

Anyone have experience with the Hankook's did you find them noisy compared to other brands.

yeah i have the same tires and pretty much the same issue. i kinda take it as a trade off though because those tires are excellent in the rain and snow from my experience. i'd rather have good traction vs. a quiter cabin.

maybe there are some better ones out there but i wouldn't know.
