I don't think the tolerances on the chinese bulbs are the same as the Phillips. The bulbs are inferior from a construction perspective.

I'd recommend against buying these. I am going back to stock.
I use to have 6K's from 3Bspec, one bulb died after a week or so... contacted them and they sent me a replacement overnight... i requested for 5K bulbs instead and he sent it overnight.. no problems so far.. i do agree with less light and the screwed up beam pattern.. i experienced the same with my 6K's and when i did the switch to 5K's it was a lot better, although it's given 5K's will give you more light, i still think my 6K's were really defective.....

My beam pattern is fine and I don't notice any more hot spots than the stock bulbs.

I just installed some Phillips 6000 DS2's and im seeing the hot spots too. The beam pattern is not even and I have a bright spot on the drivers side and a pretty large hole of dim light on the passenger side. Is it possible that I just need some adjustments or do you think it is the bulbs that are messed up?

Installed the 3Bspec 8000ks and I'm much happier. The phillips 6000ks definately had a problem with the bulbs because all of the dark spots are gone and overall it looks like more output even though I went up to 8000's. Even though I have only had them a few days, I am very happy with the 3Bspec beam, price of bulbs, and shipping. Hope this helps anyone with the same problems

just to add some fuel to this fire, my ultinons are still just fine, no hotspots, no problems. it's been almost a year--a month or two less than how long i've had the car

^ Bump, just curious to see how the 3b Spec hids are doing reliability wise, i will be buying 6k within this week and was interested in seeing if these bulbs last a while to justify $60 or should i just spend ~160 on the Philips.

Thanks guys.
