Further proof that dealerships are full of crooks... a $400 intake (at most, since we've seen it cheaper) and $600 worth of labor. Even at $100/hour that's 6 hours to install that intake. WTF?

Thanks for the picture. So what's the poll between the FuJita intake verus the Stillen. The Fujita intake will definitely get more air but will it receive more hot air not being in an air box?

im starting to feel like a broken record by saying this so many times. you will NOT experience heat soak in your engine UNLESS you leave the car idling for a long period of time. When the car is moving air is constantly moving so fast that its not going to suck up any hot air. It will suck up exactly whats coming in from outside, so box or no box its going to be the same air.

When me and my friends both had our 06 6mt coupes...at one point i had a ztube/pop charger short ram setup and he had an injen CAI. We raced numerous times and were dead even every friggin time.

Intakes are intakes, they are for sound and looks, and when combined with alot of other bolt ons actually help for performance. Other then that they do nothing.

exactly why i am waiting for forced induction.... I had an 02 sentra ser spec that i bought new in july of 02. I bought every bolt on mod i could as it came out over the course of 2.5 years. Then i threw juice on it. then i went turbo and regreted ever spending the cash for all the bolt ons and such.

conservative boost for me on this car and that is it besides rims/tires/brakes/exhaust.

i feel you....it i wasnt leasing turbo would be for me as well. So im just relaly putting the intake for the sound of it. I through some wheels on, my external fogs, and maybe 1 or 2 other things. But to turbo is a lease is ridiculous lol. Especially a 24month lease.

Just got mine in today. I don't really see a HUGE difference in sound from stock - but of course my last car that I put an intake on was an 05 Altima 2.5S which went from nothing to LOUD real quick so I may have been looking for more of a difference from this one.

anyways just a couple of **** pics from my phone.

So if you're stuck in traffic, is that bad?

might have an effect for about 5 seconds until you start driving normally again and the air filters through.

I think it sounds way dif from stock. But i do know what you mean, I put a short ram on my 05 maxima and it seemed to have a little more of woooooooooop at WOT lol. I said the same thing when i put the short ram (pop charg/ztube) on my coupe. It didnt really have the same effect that it did on the maxima. Not sure if its the type of filter or what. But when i switched to the injen on my coupe it made my maxima sound like a baby.
