I just picked up my 2008 G-35S, 6MT after having the Stillen exhaust installed. I had the intake installed last month when I got the car and decided to wait on the exhaust. After a month I knew I wanted the exhaust too so had it done yesterday. I LOVE the sound and I could swear that there is a noticeable difference in the acceleration (especially in 2nd and 3rd gears). I think that this mod nudges the car a little further into the "SPORTY" category. It sure sounds "mellow" and if it performs a little better then that is just "icing on the cake"!!! I feel that the sound is just right for this kind of car..... I have the CORSA SPORT exhaust on my C6 Corvette and it is very AGGRESSIVE V8 sounding. The Stillen has a mellow but powerful sound.

 

Any chance you could post up a clean sound clip? Everything I have heard that could help typically has too much wind noise, etc.

 

sorry.....I dont have any way to do that. I was lucky, they had a G35S with the Stillen exhaust and intake at the dealer that I got to hear before the owner picked it up. I would call the sound MELLOW....if you want LOUD, this isn't it.

Who are you working with to get a Blitz? How much? Is it made for our car or is it just mufflers?

 

I personnally like the Fujitsubo one... I just don't know how and where I can get one. Maybe I'll try Autobac... where they'll probably charge me quite a bit...

 

Eh, who knows what I'll get 'if anything'...

If I hear it, and want it, I have to justify spending that cash on my 'reliable' daily driver... or put it into my 'Going to get a used GTR in a few years' fund.

So troubling.

Just ordered a Stillen exhaust for my soon to be delivered G35X-S. There is a sale on that ends this weekend for those that were on the fence.
