Well so far the car is looking good Terry. As far as the transmission and black smoke goes, you did a bold move. Thats what this forum needed to get everyone excited, and we still are. I don't think your car is going to get old anytime soon.
I hope all goes well with these issues. I'm sure GTM will find the problem about the black smoke, but that valve body upgrade is pretty $$$$
Good luck bro, I'll be keeping my fingers crossed.

Wow thats a real sleeper if you can cover up the cooler without hindering air flow . Anyways i think its a wise decision to get the valve body upgrade now rather than getting a rebuild AND valve body upgrade later, G/L keep us posted.

Smoke is burning oil....white/blue. Black would be too rich, which I doubt would ever be the case with a GTM tune. It may just be a turbo drain issue like APS used to have. I am sure that is why they played with all the lines.

But it makes sense because why would he burning oil.
Don't you usually get black smoke when your head gasket has a crack or leak in it?

You get black smoke when you run rich, which is always a safe bet on a boosted car.

Headgasket usually means burning coolant which gives thick white smoke that has a sweet smell to it.

As of today, they are trying something with the test pipes to fix the cel problem. They also did some work on the PCV system to fix the smoke problem which they ''seriously'' doubt is caused by a blown motor.

Terry, how fast is that thing now? I'll bet it's a beast!

Just my opinion, I'd leave the innercooler aluminum. I don't see any reason to make it a sleeper. You'll get instant respect just rolling through town as is but maybe you don't want the extra attention. Unless your are racing for pinks and don't want to other car knowing what you have, that innercooler look badarse. Nice photo btw.
