HFC / Intake

There was a pretty lengthy thread not to long ago regarding Stillen or Berk HFC's. I have a stock 08 6MT sedan and I am looking for a little deeper ehaust note. I am not looking to become 2 fast 2 furious, just a little bit of a throatier growl. Am I better off going with just an intake setup? There is so much info on this site regarding which intake to install I am lost. (Stillen, Injen, etc....) Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks!

i got stillen long tube intake and stillen HFC intake just makes it loud above 4kRPM and the HFC makes it sound just like the coupes or the FX at under 4k. hope that helps. but for deep growl def intake is the way to go.

Stupid question.... Is a long tube intake the same as a cold air intake? Do the wheels need to be removed for installation?

suby, your intake cruising around is not overly loud? is it audible all the time or just under heavy throttle?

Any concerns about passing emissions with the HFC?
Does that affect anything?
