Heavy clutch

I've driven manual transmissions all my life, but my 07 sedan has the heaviest clutch I have ever experienced. This is actually causing me to have some pain in my left foot that deesn't want to go away. I have had the slave cylinder update, and even installed a custom made wider clutch pedal which helped a little. I hate to think I may have to sell my G over this. Does anyone know of any fixes or aftermarket clutches that can help with this problem? I've heard the 08 sedans and coupes have improved clutches, but does anyone know if this problem has been addressed?

Go sit in an 08 and see if the clutch pressure is less. If it is, then you should be able to change out to the newer components I guess.

Heaviest clutch on the G? I've had a few domestic cars that were way heavier.

Could you be simply having foot problems? Ever consider an automatic?

I actually find it quite light compared to my Acura I had. You must have knee problems.

Part of the reason may be the length of travel in the pedal not just the weight.

After driving a BMW, I wasn't overjoyed by the pedal action on my '08 G35S.
After the pedal fix, I love the 6MT

That's very impressive, but I'm 6'3" and weigh 210. The problem is with my FOOT, not my leg. Maybe the droids go to your head.

Yeah, I think that describes it better than I did. The wider clutch pedal helps some.

where do u put the peddle on ur foot?

i drive bare foot a lot and i put the peddle right below my toes, like i can curl my toes over the top of the peddle and pull it back toward me if i wanted to.
so my pressure point is right in the center of the ball of my foot.
try wearing thicker shoes maybe?

I'm trying thicker shoes now, and that is helping. I think I need to make sure the pedal is under the ball of my foot, and not pushing n my toes.
