resonated exhaust tips...

ok so i was at the muffler shop...and i wanted to just change the exhaust tips on my sedan, since i hate the stock one's...and i was think 4inch tips...what do you guys think? also the guy was saying the 4inch tips that he could get in are resonated (hope i spelled that correctly)...he said it will change the sound of the car...now if it sounds deeper, i don't mind...but if it sounds like a rice-racer i def don't want it! do you guys have experience with these tips, and can you give me suggestions or ideas of what it may sound like on our car...thanks in advance!

From magnaflow, I'll go take some pics of it if you want. They are just straight tips though.
