Couple of observations from my install:

1. Don't do this when the engine's hot (duh)
2. The passenger side engine ground bolt is a BITCH to get off. I was too lazy to take the airbox out, but it would have made it much easier.
3. I decided to solder the area between the bare wire and the ring terminals for better contact (personal preference if anything, but it does ensure a better contact).
4. The wires are very well made, good job Jeremy.
5. The ring terminals that go to the ground at the battery are larger than the area where they attach to causing the ring terminals to bend slightly. Not a big deal, but something to take into consideration.
6. My ground was left off for about 1.5 hours, but my radio stations were still set (weird).

If I think of anything else, I'll edit this. Haven't driven the car yet.

I have to say... my hood is up as I type and I am not at all liking how the the two 4GA wires are connecting to the ground. Maybe I am missing something with the '08 but the round terminals are not fitting into the straight edge of the ground terminal. Either they should be spaded or straight... even then it will not be clean enough for my liking on an install.

Before I remove everything any advise? I am thinking about piggy backing it to the existing nut... putting it on top and then adding another hold down bolt. But I am afraid there will not be enough thread to make a secure fit.

Never mind.... I think I just figured it out. It is amazing how walking away for just minute changes how you look at things.

Unlike the picture in the instructions..... they need to be mounted between the clamp. Simple as that.

I will post a picture in a minute.

OK strike that idea!!

I with them in the middle they prevent the terminal from truly being able to tighten up to the negative post.

Any ideas now for before I take it out and send it back?

These are the pictures I just took...

Does anyone know the size and thread count of the '08 terminal bolt? I am going to try and find a thing self locking nut to piggy back, like in my first idea.

I cannot believe this has not happened to anyone other than me. [ if it is going to happen it will always happen to me!]

I would just take the nut to the store with you and test fit on some bolts to determine the size. Here is a photo from the intructions on MyG37.com. I don't have the set yet so can't offer anything else. Looks like the ring terminal does need to bend a little and the orientation is important. Good luck.

I placed one cable end between the negative clamp and the other on the nut side. The nut on the clamp post does bend into the cable end a little bit, but it's good and tight now.

I agree though... they don't clamp in well. A better design would be to all of the cables end in just one terminal, so it could be placed between the clamp and would allow for everything to tighten correctly.

i installed mine yesterday at night. easiest mod I've done so far. i didn't have any problems with the bolts at all. they were easy to screw in and out. when you're installing the wires on the driver's side throttle body, use the hex screw that is further away because you'll have more clearance for the engine cover.
So far the shifting is noticeably faster and smoother. throttle is also a bit more sensitive when accelerating and deaccelerating.
