Black Betty Ground Kit

I believe that the intended ground path for those OEM wires are through the bolts and threads which are bare metal.
This is not to disagree with the fact that factory grounding varies and is the bare minimum that is required. I am looking hard at getting one of these kits myself. Just wanted to clear up the paint under the ground point concerns.

Exactly. Like I said...
I agree. I don't think the paint under the ground points is a concern. I don't even think it's that much of a concern in the future. In fact, I think I prefer the chasis have as little bare metal as possible... especially in my region. Salt destroys our cars up here.
Like you said, the factory grounds are bare minimum and these just improve in that area. What it also helps is if some cars have poor grounds, electrical issues can occur over time. Improved grounding can avoid some of those possible issues.

No hype from me. I find it much easier to sell kits if you tell people honestly what they will (and won't) do without exaggeration and hype. Then they shouldn't be disappointed. Positive feedback is what spurs others who are undecided to commit to purchase. It also helps to have a good product and customer service.
I sincerely appreciate the business I've gotten from everyone on this forum as well as myg37.com. I'm not just a faceless dude selling you stuff, I'm a proud G37 owner and car enthusiast as well. It would be pretty difficult to attend meets regularly and look people in the eye if you were screwing them. At least for me it would.

I received mine yesterday and installed earlier this evening. The majority of the install went very fast, about 20 minutes or so, and I'm of intermediate mechanical ability.
The only issue I noted was with the connection of the kit to the negative battery terminal. I too tried to sandwich the grounding wires between the terminal connector instead of on the end thinking it would be a cleaner looking install. But try as I might I couldn't get the damn thing tight enough so that I couldn't just pull the negative off the battery post without much effort. So with daylight fading I decided to connect the kit as shown in the pics on myG37 and of course this is when I dropped the damn nut! Fortunately I work at a company that has TONS of spare nuts/bolts around and was able to find something to use (stainless steel, non-locking M6 nut) until I can get to the parts store tomorrow.
Initial impressions are positive, I noticed a bit of an improvement in the volume of the Bose unit and the BT hands-free (about 2 bars "higher") and instantly noticed that the bass response of the stock system is much tighter and well defined [I'm a bass player so I take note of these things...]. Throttle response felt a bit different but given that it's St Patty's day and there were roadblocks a plenty I decided to leave the more spirited test drive until tomorrow morning.

Give us your impressions after driven a few hundred miles.

I'll definitely get back to you with my impressions after a few hundred miles or so.

Finally got around to installing this kit.
Very noticeable decrease in lag while in manual mode. No placebo, very obvious.
I only test drove it for a bit, but nothing else struck me as different, other than maybe cleaner shifting in sport mode.
Well worth it for me as the lag in manual mode shifting was annoying.
I'll drive it later for a longer distance and see what's what.

I just installed mine yesterday. i too dealt with getting all the wires to attach right to the negative terminal. i ended up sandwiching the throttle body ground in the middle and putting the other on the fixed square end of the bolt.
Initial Dyno tests confirmed an increase of 30RWHP............not really but i did notice changes in throttle response stereo quality and especially DS mode. The shifts are lightning quick and i no longer have to "time" my shifts.

Look at his post above yours. In the top right hand corner of his post block, there is a little area that says "iTrader," along with a numeral that's underlined.
Click that, and there will be an area where it says "leave feedback." Click that link, and follow the rest of the instructions. You'll have to copy/paste the link for the sales thread for the wires, so have that ready.
