So I ran across this thread in the 07- coupe DIYs. It's some sort of tranny mod that allows faster shifts.
Anyone heard of this for our gen's?
Would this put damage on our trannies?

I'm excited, I would like to know if this works.

Yep, that's basically what it does. I'm not really sure how much faster the shifts can be on our 2nd gen's though, it's already pretty quick as it is.

In the mustang world, transgo isnt widely respected. I wouldn't put that in my car, but that's just me

You have a grounding kit? I'd try that first before messing with the trans and voiding the warranty.

On my '04 the grounding kit definitely improved shifting.

....it won't do a thing for my '08 though.

Try the grounding wires. I put them on mine and it sped up the shifts.

I have it in my 07 sedan and have been very happy with it. It essentially reduces the time the AT shifts from one gear to the next.

It will not damage the transmission. It is actually better for transmission longevity because the longer it takes to shift from one gear to the next, the hotter the fluid gets.

Driving around normally, you cannot tell the shift kit is there. However, when the RPMs are up (driving the transmission line pressure up) the shifts will be much more "crisp" ... like the feel of popping the clutch on an MT. Your car will be easily chirping gears.

LOOOOL, never ever compare a damn BMW or any other German made car to our cars, nissan never desinged this as a performance gearbox.

BTW i know someone in Kuwait who has installed TransGo on his 350z, and the car is running perfectly for 2 years until now, he did it in Al-Ouda garage, his 5AT shifts like 6MT, and his shifting is just too great.
