changing Diff Fluid
changing Diff Fluid
Hey guys, i found a bunch of stuff on the 1st gen sedan guys and coupes but nothing on our models. does anyone have a how to on changing the Diff fluid on an 07 Sport G35 Sedan? what fluid and how much to use?? any pointers?? dealer wants 100 bux
It's so easy. 1) Undo the drain plug 2) Drain old fluid 3) Screw on drain plug 4) Undo fill plug 5) add new fluid until it reaches the bottom of the fill hole 6) Screw on fill plug. Remember to get new washers for the plugs from your dealer. The recommended tightening torque for each plug is 26 ft-lbs. Use GL-5 80W90 gear oil (I used AMSOIL 80W90 gear oil).
This should cost you $15-$20 if you DIY.

thanks for the input guys. i just dropped my car off this morning to get the trans service done. only 179.99 and they drop the pan and change the internal filter. i asked about coolant and diff fluid and the service manager told me that from what they have seen you dont need to worry about either of those until 60k. dealer is West houston Infiniti. i give them props for not trying to screw me over. Southwest infiniti wanted 299.99 for the transmission service!!!
