what's your rpm range, mine is at 7700?

When I put my foot into it (WOT) it shifts at 7700. Is this what others are doing. This car pulls hard and fast. I am so impressed with this V6 power. This thing would run circles around my old GT Mustang.
Its a all stock 08 G35 Sedan Sport. Bought it from a board member from the Nissan Plant in Mississippi with 15k mile, full warrant, like new condition, built late in 2008. Not a mark on the car.If I didn't know any better I would think this thing has been professionally tuned.
So is the 7700 rpm normal? It dips right into the red before shifting.

You're fine. The rpm gauge isnt going to be dead on anyway, most of the time. Just make sure when using manual mode you shift before redline because it will run into redline and then the ecu will cut power to prevent damage.

^+1 even if shows that its dipping into red it would actually not be, it will shift at the 7600rpm line. And like envied said when using manual mode shift a few hundred rpm before the redline to avoid fuel cut

Thanks for the reply guys. With this said what would be a safe limit on setting the rpms. I am installing the hypertech sport programmer this weekend. Opinion, what should I set the max rpm at? I guess maybe its best stock? It would be hard to determine w/o a dyno I guess. All depends where the power curve is???

@headshot i would stay under 8000rpm and 7800 should be ideal as after that you power curve starts to drop

7800 - Seems like a safe zone and especially if it the power drops after 7800.
