I honestly think it's the switches for the +/-. Now I can shift up all day long but as soon as I down shift it changes to D. So that leads me to think it's either the connection to the switches or the switch itself.

Anyone know where I can buy the switches only? Any 3rd party switches?

The switches are not the problem. Mine checked out just fine. It's most likely the printed circuit board assembly on the shifter.

Yeah, they asked for 500-600 for the whole shifter assembly when I went a while back. Even in the service manual it shows how to change the whole assembly only. It sucks for people over the warranty period.

You could, just need to buy the shifter assembly. It didn't look too difficult to change.

Way to crush my hopes.

Just kidding. Well I guess it's a safe bet to listen to you since you've changed it out before. Just a possibility that there could be more than one source for this problem.
