I have been using the longer 9E000 filter in my HR motor. I went to get a couple oil filters while at one of the local Nissan dealers I've never been to before yesterday, and they handed me a 9E01A instead of the usual 9E000. "It's the only Nissan filter we carry" they said. Things didn't seem right from the moment they told me the parts department is over at another building. So I walk over to the other building and find myself in a Toyota dealership. The only thing "Nissan" about the whole place was a few Nissan parts boxes on the customer pick up shelf behind the counter.
I haven't been able to find anything about this unfamiliar PN on this forum. The box itself lists a bunch of DE motor applications and makes no mention about the HR motor.
Can anyone confirm this PN to be the successor of the 9E000 or is this a totally wrong filter for my G?

 

I bought a few on Oct 1, 2012 and notice on the invoice says "15208-65F0C replace 15208-06". I had the 9E000 about 6 months ago and this new one is shorter. Is this the right part?

 

15208-65F0C is the shorter correct filter
15208-9E000 has been replaced by 15208-9E01A
