Long and rough warm or hot restarts
You ran into the same bucket of emptiness like i did. I have Denso Crank and Cam sensors and Hitachi ignition coils. No issues since this thread was solved. I cannot confirm that a Hitachi Crank sensor is OK to use but why bother guessing when it's best to just get all 5 sensors made by Denso and drive without worries.
If you only found this thread sooner, you would of saved plenty on the t-bodies and MAFs as those rarely go bad unless the air filter(s) is sooooo old and brittle that it gets sucked into the engine.. I have 130k on mine and both are still original to the car.
The terrible part of this G35 ECM is that it eventually will throw a cam sensor code but that could be a day or a month in time like mine did. I've read that the DE RevUp engines can run on both Hitachi and Denso sensors but this HR prefers only Denso.
This thread should be stickied somewhere so others wouldn't have to waste their money on replacing good parts...

Yeah, I really wish I had found this thread sooner! Although I don't mind preemptively replacing many of the things I did because my adult daughter drives the car so it's not convenient when it throws MIL codes. Plus, the EVAP parts weren't very expensive.
I agree about the CKPS. It would be better if I had replaced with Denso, but everything is working so perfectly now I'm kind of in the "if-it-ain't-broke..." mindset.
Regarding the MAF's and TB's, yes, probably overkill. But it's also possible that the factory spec combustion quality will help the O2 sensors and cats last longer (wishful thinking?). I clean the injectors with Redline cleaner periodically - they have the highest percentage of PEA. I'd like the car to go at least another 60,000 miles with only routine maintenance, so I don't mind the ~$400 I spent for the peace of mind.
For sure this thread should be pinned somewhere as this Hitachi incompatibility affects all V36's and these cars are old enough now that a lot of CPS's are starting to fail.
