Once the drivers have enjoyed spirited driving with the "new" engine charcteristics, I expect the gas mileage to improve now the engine is no longer surging higher in the rev range.

Hey all,

I know this is an old thread, but I haven't been on the forum pretty much since I signed up so forgive my ignorance on this issue.

Is this CC issue applicable for both autos and MTs? I know that when I'm in CC, I get some jerkage when I'm going downhill, but I just figured that was one of the downsides to having a MT with CC (My previous car didn't have CC . Same question applies for the jerk-off-the-line issue...

Thanks for the help all.

I hoped that my mileage would get better, but unfortunately it hasn't. I guess I had mastered the jackrabbit pedal enough to squeeze the best mileage out of it, already. (which is horrible) The new program is remarkably easier to drive, however.

My MPG has actually seemed to go down by about .5mpg. Not sure if it's due to the ECU having re-adjust since I reset it with pedal reset or if it's due to the CC ITB which I had done.

I'll be taking a road trip this weekend, so I should be able see what the highway mileage is now. Before the CC ITB I was getting ~26mpg 100% highway @70mph CC.

I'm pretty sure it's for manual and autos. GET IT DONE!!

Thread's actually not old. It's just a start to finish from me asking about a "problem" then finally getting it fixed.

I took mine in just now to get done. My rep said he wasn't sure how they do it or if they have done any yet of this TSB. Hopefully they'll figure it out!

I brought mine in about two weeks ago and the dealer said he could not reflash because my production date was too recent and I have the most current software. I have never felt a surge in the cc so he might be right. I do have the sensitive throttle.

Brought mine in today. I was a little worried because I didn't want it to lose its "peppiness", and even more because my dealer had no clue what I was talking about. It took 3 calls and for me to give them the TSB in order to get them on the same page. Obviously, I was the first person that had it done which always scares me.

After all that...honestly...I don't notice much of a change? I feel a slight change from a stop, but its so minute that it could just be my mind playing with me just assuming something is different. Shifting and normal driving feel unchanged.

The good news out of that, is the throttle actually didn't really bother me to start so it not changing still doesn't bother me. I did it because of the high feedback from most here, and knowing that most likely a fix is usually better so why not.

Knowing my dealer...they very well may have brought it into the shop, sat it in, and pulled it back out saying they were done because they still have no idea what this TSB is. Either way...I gave it a go and came out without a feeling either way.

Thumbs up

Finally got my CC TSB Done, and I dropped it off at Like 7a.m. and it was done by 9a.m.! I feel a more Smoother Gradual Throttle, Not In your Face right from the start like it was before! It's alot more Forgiving I should say, as the Old one was like 40% Power just off Idle! I like it better now, Especially in Rush Hour Traffic.! Nice Job Infiniti! Oh and for Camparison, They gave me a Base G35 Auto as a Loaner. The Auto is Not bad. But that Throttle Action was worse than my 6 MT Car! Hard to get off the Line smoothly, Push it down a little leaving a light, and it hardly moves, push it a little more, and BAM, the POWER comes on and you gotta lift, so u don't rear end the Guy in front of you! And the Stock stereo is Crappy, and the seats are OK. The Suspensoin is a little Softer than my Sport, But was still good. Oh seemed the Auto car had a deeper Intake Growl than my car?? Wonder why, of If someone messed with the Intakes while they had thier car in the shop, LOL. Oh well, I recommend all who don't like thier Throttle now, to go get the CC TSB Done! you Won't regret it, Makes the car alot more Enjoyable and Comfortable to drive now!

Funny, this is the first 6sp car that I have read about which got the TSB done. I have NEVER experienced this oddity in my G, yet everytime I drive an automatic its immediately apparent. Weird.

Mine has automatic transmission and there IS a significant difference. There are also guys with 6MT posting significant improvement so it may be the case that your dealer did nothing and hoped you would just go away, believing it had been done.

The dealer worksheet, that they gave you, should specify that you reported the cruise control issue and they applied the appropriate TSB. If it turns out that they have not done it... it will be rather awkward for them to explain the deception.

On the bright side, if the throttle response doesn't bother you, one way or other..it didn't cost you anything

Here is my review on this ECU upgrade.
1. Car feels a lot smoother during acceleration.
2. Car feels a lot faster.
3. Car shifts much smoother.

I think this is a great upgrade. I can not complain.

6mt

I have never had a problem with my 6MT G35S (May 2007). However, I do note a delayed kick from the transmission after releasing the throttle when cruising. Is that a product of drive-by-wire throttle or from over aggressive throttle sensitivity? Will this reflash help with that?
