2500 miles, and...
1. Passenger seat rattles. Can they do anything about this annoying sound. I hate it.
2. Tire pressure light turns on despite appropriate pressure. (will be taking it in to the dealer to fix under warranty).
3. the sunroof "flaps" came off a few months ago. Dealer says this has been a common problem. Take it to the shop, and they'll put a couple of retro clips up there to correct the problem.
4. Door rattles from speaker volume. Turn up the volume to jam a little bit, and there's that annoying rattle taking my joy away.

Advice, anything. What can I do?

WOW! I had my 07 G since Jan, and I read other post about thier small minor Problems? I have 3200mi on mine, granted I don't drive mine everyday, and when i do drive it, I drive it hard once in a while, and I don't have any of these problems some guys mention? Hope I got one of those freak cars that will not show too much trouble.! But I wish you good luck, and all your problems seem fixable by your dealer.

 

My touchy throttle is driving me fricken nuts! I also have the door rattle problem and the tire pressure problem. It's going in on Fri.

 

I got everything fixed, which was just the sunroof flaps.

I don't have any tire pressure problems or any rattle in the passenger seat.

I do, however, have the speaker rattle. It's very minimal so I don't pay much attention to it.

 

Really no problems that haven't been fixed.
No rattles.
No wind noise
Chipped grill replaced.
Sunroof finisher refastened.
I-Keys replaced.

Just lovin it 12,000 miles later

 

The Dealer should fix the seat rattle, TPS light, sunroof finisher. As far as stuff vibrating from high speaker volume , I don't know. Heck all the stuff in my house vibrates when I play my tunes too loud on my Home Theater System, it's the same in the car .

Oh, and welcome to the site , I hope you get everything straightened out.

 

Make sure there is nothing in the door pocket that will vibrate from the bass. That is usually the case for me when I get door rattles.

 

1. Check that it's not the passenger seat belt buckle rattling against the door. Mine did this until I noticed, rattle is now gone (just make sure it's beside the seat as designed).
2. The TPMS sensor may have gone bad, and or needs to be re-registered. I had this happen too.
3. Sunroof flaps - TSB out, easily fixable.
4. Is the rattle stuff in your door pocket, as previously asked? I have not noticed a rattle from this.

To me these are no big, a trip to the dealer to fix all. So far I've had two trips to the dealer (sunroof / TPMS, and seat heater TSB). Took a few hours of my time, got to thrash a rental, minor impact to my life and zero impact to my feelings about the car.

 

I also have a rattle in my passenger seat, only when no one is sitting there, so basically its only when i drive alone. Maybe its all in my head.... When i reach back to the rear bottom portion of the seat and hold it, sometimes it stops but not all the time.


dgelz.... what did they tell you about the rattle, or was it one of those things that mysteriously stopped when you pulled up to the dealer and mysteriously started again as soon as you left?

 

The passenger seat rattle is from the actual seat. I originally thought it might be the seatbelt buckle, but was able to rule this out quickly. When I actually press/push (applying pressure) on the passenger seat as I'm driving, the rattle stops. I'm hoping the dealer will just be able to re-fasten everything and the problem will stop. It really is annoying, though.

The speakers in the door rattle the panel when the volume is turned up at medium-loud levels. I've taken this in to the dealer twice to have it fixed. They've actually taken off the door panel both times and applied some kind of foam/vibration dampening material...nothing has really worked though. Believe me, there is nothing in the door panel compartments.

The sunroof was an easy fix. If you experience the flaps coming off the sunroof, take it into your dealer and they can take care of it in less than an hour.

The "low-tire indicator": Thanks to all for the advice of taking back to the dealer. I guess I don't know just how much the warranty will cover. I bought the car in June 07.

All in all, the car is smokin' cool. It turns heads (mine as well), and is an incredibly high performing machine. Someone earlier stated that he was glad that these are all "minor" problems, and I totally agree. I've been lucky, as I think most of us have been. These things will be taken care of, but I just wanted to know what others have been experiencing...and how they might have taken care of their problems,or what their discoveries might have been, in the event that I can spread some unknown information to my dealer. This is the way many of these minor problems end up getting fixed...through word of mouth.

wheres the sunroof flap that everyone talks about?

I heard rattling in my 08 but its due to music being high.

 

Its the rubber accordian piece on each side of the sunroof.

 

very interesting on the passenger seat rattle.

Mine does it too, ever so slightly, only when no one is sitting there...but I usually drive alone and it is pretty annoying.

I thought I was imagining things, but I guess not.
