i have not worked on any g35 but i think on the inside of the door there is a round cover that you pop off. inside the cover you will find you can see the other side of the handle. you will unscrew the torks head screw and the cover will pop out when you unscrew it all the way. the screw will not fall out because it has a holder for it so dont try and pull it out

no ! pull the door handle like you are opening the door and you will see where the cover clips on to the bracket. use a pick tool to release the clip, pull towards you and towards the back of the car at the same time.

i did not think that you could take just the cover off with out breaking it. it clips under and would scrach the car if it pops off

there is a diy w/pics on myg37. it takes a total of 20 seconds to do. i dont think anyone has scratched their paint doing this. use a bunched up towel shoved between the handle and the door to leep the door lever pulled open. this way, you can use both hands to get this done.

SWEET! Thanks!

Instructions for removing driver's side keyhole cover; Give a real clean look:

1st - Locate the black cap on the inside of the driver's door (see pic)

2nd - Pop off cap; locate hex screw; difficult I know:

3rd - Use 5/32" hex rench to unscrew bolt (won't fall into door; has a saftey lip)

4th - Pop off keyhole cover (forgot to take pic); replace with new cover (also forgot to take pic)! Should look like this when done:

Yeah, I tried to just pop the cover off after lifting the handle; pretty hard to do. Didn't want to break anything. This way was slightly more work, but took all but 10min (tops). Much easier to pull the old cover out, pop it off, the put the new one on. Either way, easy mod after thinking about it! Thanks again simpson!

Damn ... wish I knew about that bolt! I'm one of the unlucky ones that scratched my car (not too bad though)!
