MP3 CD browsing.
I was hesitant to open a new thread on such a simple question but i could not figure it out. I have been using the Ipod ever since i bought the car (3 weeks)
I decided to try mp3 cd to see if everything else works. But I can not browse the CD without changing the songs like i can with IPOD, which is kind of annoying since I do not want to listen to every song I go through. Does anyone know how to browse the mp3 CD like browsing songs in the IPOD? Thanks in advance

I make several folders and 8-15 different songs in a folder... if it is in a folder, you are able to scroll through the songs and choose the one you want to listen to. I listen to long house sets too and used HJSplit to break them up in MP3 segment tracks so I can move through the sets quickly
^ what? i cant scroll through any song OR folder even on the CF, when im inside the folder as soon as i go to next song it starts playing that song. For example if i want to play the 4th song in the folder it will stop playing the current track and it will go through all 3 even if its less than second. am i missing something here cause this does make me

The only time I noticed the songs were played automatically is when I burned tracks directly onto CDs without creating folders first. If the question you're asking is whether you can use the steering wheel scroll button to skip to the track you want (without playing the previous tracks), the answer is it can't be done - but with the dash center **** you can skip to and then select the track you want.

I've tried burning MP3 CD's with multiple folders a couple times but they never work in my car.
And even regular MP3 CD's (no multiple folders) don't scroll through songs without playing each one of them...which is annoying.

Not sure if this will answer your question; but I've burned multiple MP3 CDs for mine (premium pkg, no Nav) and can skip from album to album (if only one album shows up, hit "Back" to get to the folder list). Then as others have said, you can use the control **** to spin through the albums and/or songs to get to the one you want.
^ Thanks that might be the reason cause i never use the center ****, always use the steering controls, ill try it today and if it works ill be very happy, cause evrytime it goes through all the songs i get very "unhappy"
^ thats what they're saying, supposedly if we use the center silver **** we can scroll through songs and folders without changing the songs, i am yet to test this once im free today ....

^Ohhhh, i knew that and thats how i use it, but with dohtordima comments i had the impression you could skip through other songs and go to the one you want without having to play each one. But i guess not, that leads me back to 0
