IPDM's failing in cold weather

I parked at Home Depot yesterday for 15 minutes, came out, got in the car and the car would not start up. I would get all the dash lights on, the radio and my bluetooth worked, climate control worked, but the car would not even ask for the clutch to be depressed. It was like the car was not recognizing the key to initiate a start signal. I called my tech at Infiniti and he mentioned that I should pop the hood and tap the IPDM module beside the battery. Apparently the modules have been failing in extreme cold temps and little taps to the case get it back up and running. Luckily, just the jarring from me popping the hood seemed to do the trick. I got the car to Infiniti and they swapped out the IPDM in 45 minutes. Apparently the have done 4 or 5 07's now with this problem. 6mt's and auto's.

Ian here is a link to a PDF file for the Intelligent Power Distribution Module trouble shooting and replacement on the 1st Gen G35s because of Cold Start Problems.

I'm sure you will recognize it after viewing that file.

I was also curious about this module and found that link when I first read this thread.
