if we were to assume that a 5AT G has 18% drivetrain loss, then it makes approx. 250whp.
now assuming the S3 is also an auto, then with 18% drivetrain loss, whp would be around 209. which is still less than the G even after you remapped it. Plus your S3 is a quattro, which means your drivetrain loss is even greater.

The S3 was a MT (they only come in MT) and I see your point, you're right quattro would loose even more.

I got those umbers with the headers on, but my gains with the headers were so low due to a leak in the headers.
I also got a dyno tune with the reflash that costs 160 bux more.

What kind of dyno was the 310rwhp achieved on (mustang, dyno jet)? Did you receive a printout showing that it was 310?

Thanks man

Cool dude, so a simple re-map should get me somewhere into the 300 mark? shame the Torque couldn't be higher

^Tadashi at TS said you can get 10whp or 30+whp it just depends on the abuse the car has taken. Some people got 290whp and me and another guy got around the same number. I think his name is Brian.
The torque couldn't be brought up much cuz of my intakes

I think the stillen 3Gs will have better luck with this tune.

standard the car will do 0-60mhp in 6.5-6.9 after remap its closer to 5.9. Now my confusion is how can a car that

- Weights more, the G35 is approx 1,600kg whereas the S3 is 1,450kg
- G35 has nearly the same HP and much less torque than the S3
- G35 is RWD whereas the S3 is quattro

now with all the above how in the world does a G35 do 0-60 in 5.9? when I can just about get my S3 to that figure??? or was the 5.9 figure also at crank? lol
It doesn't - as someone said below, the G35 goes 0-60 in around 5.3. Much faster than your stated numbers for the S3. BTW, your torque numbers are...surprising, even for a turbo car. 1.8L is really small in the scheme of things, are you sure that number is correct? If none of those numbers are WHP, how'd you get them (clearly not a dyno)??

Don't get me wrong, the G feels fast, and I like it, but I expected it to be producing a bit more whp and torque than what most people have told me , in a straight line race against the S3 yeah the G will win but only after 70mph and over, and on take off the G will eat the S3 dust, so is the 0-60 time of 5.9 also wrong?
Again, your numbers are wrong. And based on 1/4 times at the track, the G is likely to keep going.

Ya it did.
Tadashi, the guy who did the reflash on my car, personally hates aftermarket intakes. He prefers the stock ones with K&N drop in's. But since he herd about the new stillen 3G's, I think he changed his mind lol

I might get the stillen 3G's.

Yeah those figures above weren't whp or even done on a dyno, long story short...I had a remap done but a bad aftermarket Inter cooler held me back and was only able to push 225hp, so I replaced it with the OEM one and just read the figures of Vag com once the computer adjusted to the new IC. Now I'm not the best at Vag-com but from what I was able to figure out the car (which I guess is crank) was around 250-255hp but not too sure on whp, and the Torque figure was a rough guess because I can't really remember what it was but I think it might have been closer to 260, and that would be at the crank. I guess the quattro looses more of the power through the transmission than I expected....The turbo spool though is a great kick. Oh and you have to shift to 3rd gear in the S3 to get to 60mph, which you don't have to in the G35 so all those I guess help out.

Humm, good thing I held back because I was about to get them. I guess I'll wait for more reviews about the Stillens and then see
