Automatic transmission fluid change....help me make a diy

when you check the Tranny level from the stick, are we suppost to have the engine running, or engine off is fine?

engine should be running and car on a level service as per the FSM.

Yes, but pictures help a lot. infinitihelp.com has videos on it I think.

it does have video but only for the rear diff and AT if my memory serves me right... for anyone with AWD, there wasnt any comprehensive howto on front diff and tcase steps.... even more difficult to find howto on 2007-2008 g35 awd

i promise next time i do all my steps again, ill take pics hehe

When I tried to do mine I couldn't find anything. So I asked for people to help me come up with a semi- diy with pics. this thread should cover all the fluids minus the coolant. I am going to swap out the coolant sometime this month and add more pictures on here. kevin

I can't tell from the pics which is the correct line to flush ATF from? Also once you disconnect the hose does it drain from the hose or from the metal tube? Lastly how many quarts are needed for a 2006 g35x AWD?

I want to get this done on my 07 4dr X, im only gonna need 11 quarts right? Where would be the cheapest place to buy it? And what about powersteering and differential fluids?

Just read your info on trans fluid change. Any problems with it after changing fluid. I have 75k on mine and never been done. I'm also in abingdon Md. Thanks.
