You do realize that that filter shown in your link is for a single (not a pair), it's way over priced, AND it's NOT a genuine factory filter; it's a no-name aftermarket part. (Note their "brand" name is actually a play on the wording "Genuine OEM", they just switched the M with an S) I don't really worry too much about the cabin air filter brand used, but as far as my engine goes, I'd much rather buy a high quality air filter; either a genuine factory part, or at least a quality name brand replacement part.

the best cabin filter is the stock carbon-activated FX50S filter!

OES is same as OEM

OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer = Nissan
OES = Original Equipment Supplier = Manufacturer which supplies Nissan with their parts

Some people use both terms interchangeably.

Basically the same factory produces the same parts for Nissan. No Difference. OEM Means you Buy from Nissan, OES means you buy from the Factory (supplier) Directly.

In a perfect world with reputable parts providers, I would agree with what you're saying, but from my experience the 'play' on such terminology has become so ubiquitous as to render it near meaningless. I routinely dismiss such claims unless it is in correct factory packaging or bears some unmistakeable manufacturer markings as the genuine factory parts do. With some parts, the factory will specify a higher quality standard than the manufacturer's other unbranded products. However, when certain vendors sell that manufacturer's other products, they will claim them to be equivalent since the are made or supplied by the same source. It can be a shady bait and switch game. Caveat emptor !

Yeah I was thinking about that too. I know they say the oem cabin filter lasts for a while but when a filter element is filled with debris does it still last for its suggested life.

Obviously, a clogged filter is a clogged filter; my guess was that they're referring to the lifespan of its carbon activated properties.
