07 S Sedan Intelli key issues

Been searching on this for years and am at my end of my ropes.

I have replaced aced all batteries in my fobs and the car.

Heres what happens:
1. Orange key light will come on
2. When light is on my headlights come on, my ac compressor turns off, the cooling fan goes high speed, and my wipers stop working
3. I hit the steering wheel a few times
4. Light turns off and everything goes back to normal
5. After a few seconds the process repeats

ive pulled the steering lock and it still does the same thing.

Any my other thoughts or suggestions? I’m thinking of replacing the clock spring to see if maybe it’s that but who knows

thanks

Does this happen while driving? Can you reproduce the issue with the physical key in the ignition?

yes it it happens when driving. It also happens when I have the intelli key in the dock.

It it seems to only happen during the day as well. I tried covering over the auto sensor for the lights and to just turn the lights on manually, but same thing.

Unfortunately this sounds like a failing BCM, I would clean up the power system first, the primary and ground wire on BOTH ENDS of the cable on the battery. I would also remove the instrument cluster and the stereo/AC face and check the two ground wires that are behind it just to rule out a simple electrical issue.

If that doesn't fix I would go to Nissan for a diagnostic.
