Rust spots on 07 G35x!

Just got my 2007 G35X washed today. Got home and thought I saw a spec of dirt on the trunk lid. Turned out that is was a bubbled up rust spot! I also noticed several rust speckles under the paint (trunk lid) that have not bubbled yet. Off to the dealer for warranty a claim this week. See these forums with photo links.

I cant see clearly on my 8" screen but it doesnt look like rust to me, looks like some sort of treesap or insect residue, could be wrong though.

You probaly got a serious rock chip and it just started rusting cause you left it there without doing anything.

RPM -Because I just discovered this issue today and I have not taken pics of my car yet. These photos demonstrate the same rust issues that other G owners have reported on another G forum. My rust spots are the same. make sense now?

looks like it might be form the factory like that, its not uncommon for cars to have watter under the paint from that factory

Agreed, take it to the dealer. I have an 07 X as well and I'd take care of that like real soon. I'd even abandon my patients to go to the dealership over that right now. jk.
