They're probably doing it for non-payment. Even though Eric came up with the designs, if he owes the shop actually making the bumpers a lot of money, they likely sold the design to help recoup costs. I've seen it done in other situations. It's probably in the fine print somewhere. This was probably a last resort for the shop. I doubt they would have sold the molds if Eric was still doing business with them.

Also, keep in mind that there aren't really legal protections for bumpers and body kit designs. Technically you can get patents/copyrights on the designs, but no one ever does and it's incredibly hard to enforce. That's why there is even a replica body kit business.

BTW, how does the new guy buying a copy of Eric's mold keep Eric from fulfilling orders? It's not as if the shop gave Eric's actual mold away. They made a copy of it.

^^LMAO

A replica of something that's designed by someone on board.. If you were to replica something like nismo, impul, INGs.. shiit by all means go for it you know those folks won't even know about it since they're all the way in Japan. Now you're talking about replicating something that was made by someone ON this forum.. You've got some serious respect problem right now.. Until Kris can clarify where he got the molds, I say its all

Not only did he replicate something that was made by someone on this forum but someone who lives in the same state, and as kris says someone he knows.

I don't understand the argument here. Stealing is stealing, why does it being anonymous make it more acceptable in one case compared to the other?

This is just a guess because I don't know anyone involved, but was Eric actually making the bumpers himself? Or was he paying the shop where the molds were at to make them for him. Chances are, he was paying them to make his bumpers. The people I knew in the body kit business back in the day all did it this way. It's much easier to pay the shop to make the bumper. So if he was paying the shop, maybe he fell behind on payments. It happens all the time. They then start withholding shipments and eventually sell the mold.

I'm not saying that's what happened in this case, but I've seen that exact scenario play out many times.

If zack did up the price then there idk if it was the same then coo... Jacking up the price for something that bunch of ppl want is business not help

Zack if your riding dirty you will be caught in here shady shiet always comes to light.. Ofcourse you will stick to your story
All I'm saying is if your fvcking with ppls emotions you will be protested.... I say you offer those who had orders a discounted price from the original price that is if you truly want to help

Doubt the company that makes the bumpers with ur mold is charging way more to make them...

Understandable, but here, members are actually getting screwed over. When was the last time a member was screwed over when someone made a replica of an authentic kit???
