You're missing the point. Why would a company send you a second product for FREE when there is a risk of you keeping both and taking advantage of the situation?

And you must have ignored the last part of my post. You could have purchased another exhaust and get refunded upon return of the old one.

^ okay i misinterpret your last post. but however, do you really think they wanted the exhaust that has been heated up with blow torch to adjust the whole dam exhaust which it said it has a perfect fitment while its completely a disaster?

so the damage occurred after it was manipulated to fit? I wouldn't let you return it either.

anyway..back on track to this thread..

beyond receiving the wrong lip after waiting and waiting i have a question and looking for opinions about my other parts. i ordered oem clear corners which i was promised to have in 1-2 business weeks. Well that was at the end of january. now i was asked to give permission to find them at a supplier that isnt normally used, i said go ahead as long as i get the same quality markers. now im told these cannot be sourced and i was given a refund minus a cancellation fee. i feel i should not have to pay this fee as i ordered a product while i was told i would have in 1-2 business weeks, i let it go for months and now im being told i cannot get these but i am still being charged a fee for this whole run around? does that make any sense? basically my money was held hostage for me to be charged a fee for them to hold my money. Its not my problem that they cant deliver a product they said they could. i should get my full amount back right.? it seems absolutely crazy to me

Ah yes. The beloved cancellation fee- isn't cancellation one and restocking a whole other? I think you lose something like 55% or do for being attrocious- if they actually had the part.

Funny- because we are all sitting here talking about how brutal they are when in fact this could be one of the best business models ever!

^lol....I have the perfect business plan for you. You should start a business where your only piece of inventory is a set of wheels...then just cash in on cancellation fees on the same set over and over again

This thread keeps growing and I am really glad that people are sharing bad experiences about strafe. And it's somewhat nice to see that strafe is actively replying to these posted complaints and trying to do something.

I feel for the exhaust guy^, mostly because when a person first starts doing business with strafe you feel like you'll be taken care of and you'll get a quality product. And then when a hiccup occurs, there's not much support. If i was in the same situation I would put a deposit for the new exhaust to come to me and then swap it and send the old one back. I think that was an option that should have been offered by strafe.

And that much amount of cancelation and restocking fee is ridiculous. The clear corners weren't even shipped and the way I understand it strafe was the one who cancelled the order because they couldn't find them but still the customer has to pay?

Well anyways, I am still waiting on an update on my simple hid kit, which supposedly isn't back ordered and also doesn't exist.

I talked with Dustin last night and The HID kits are on their way and we are not HID experts. We asked our suppliers for exactly what you want and they fill the orders and give us our information.

Charge backs are a customers right and We get to send our terms and conditions, original invoices, thread screen shots, pms as well along with all email traffic and our business traffic. So yes you can dispute the charges and then see if the agree with you. That is the true arena to resolve the complaint is you are not satisfied or feel we do something illegal. Not here...

Crazynuts Dustin or I will be contacting you about your HID I think they are in this week. As far as the clear corners I don't know if you were in the transaction to know what went on and really I did reach out to Tyler on the weekend and very late. I don't know too many Companies that put in the after hours we do for customers. I gave him a option for both Him and Strafe. The clear corners aren't available at the price we charged him or less.. I asked him in a email to allow me to enter in a new term and agreement. He said yes and agreed. I still tried to get his clear corners at same or lower price and couldn't get them.. I authorized my partner to refund him right away less 5% for credit card fees instead of 30% that would have came if he canceled since no ETA is in sight Stock levels of these are very low.

We and I understand everything Strafe does will be scrutinized or hashed, bashed or whatever. Using the forum in threats to Us to try and get use that as some sort of authority to resolve your matter isn't in the equation. Yes it allows you to vent and have others agree or disagree and it allows for free reign on Strafe.....we aren't out to not get you the parts ordered !!!Patience is the key and what we ask for, we don't make the items.

I have to point out Stock levels increase or decrease daily. We carry very little stock. We are a small company. The parts come from overseas and only when containers are filled. This takes time. Its not that Strafe wants to take the money and run. we wait just like the customer. The item is ordered from here made there and shipped here so yes there is a fee for restocking. The companies don't like stock laying around any more. Times have changed when items are in abundance.

Yes another vendor can fulfill your order after supposedly we fail. That is because the part is either arriving or it came in after our transaction or your cancellation . What you don't know is it is the same part you ordered from Us unless someone makes that item locally and be aware of that ask where the part comes from........We all get from same suppliers.Plain and simple. We all share the same pie of parts. we all see each other at VIS from time to time and are selling the same items. We just so happen get the order first and well if we fail people hear this and then the 2nd company comes in and saves the day with the same part we were waiting on. I really don't know how to be more clear than we have.
Really we don't like to cancel orders we rather you wait until the product arrives.Fees are fees and we pay them as well for every credit card charged.
Can we ask for more patience on waiting? Seriously We want you to have what is ordered just apologize if it isn't here yet. BTW the hood dampers are still not here.

Have a great Day and Happy Modding!

To the first quoted paragraph - YOU made a commitment to YOUR customer and took their payment in good faith that YOU could live up to YOUR end of the bargain. When YOU couldn't live up to that agreement the customer gave YOU permission to source outside your normal channels. YOU still couldn't deliver. It is complete BS to charge the customer any fee because YOU couldn't make good on what you said you could do, both price and delivery wise. This guy should have received his full payment back including the credit card fees. Once again you're asking others to foot the bill for YOUR short-comings.

As to the second paragraph - please don't say that the only reason these guys got parts so quick after canceling their orders with you is because the shipment also containing YOUR parts finally arrived.

To tell you the truth I think I liked you better before you were hiding incessantly behind your terms and conditions, at least I felt we were seeing the real you.

Sad to say but I've reached my limit of bad that I can read, and your responses and "explanations" and continuing to place the responsibility for everything solely on the customer makes me elated that I got out of both my transactions as well as I did. I still feel that Dustin is a good dude, and I've thought long and hard about it, but you guys have lost any future business you may have received from me.
